Pierrre Bocion - The State of Art

Neuro Art (September 27, 2007).

The micro world in the invisible range will be captured by human beeings as abstracted, not real - objective. At the cave experiment of Platon with human beeings put in irons, seeing only a rock, a non real world was realized. If we are looking into the microworld, for instance of an animal cell with modern technology, we see a different world not recognized by the majority of the population. What we see is always a small part of the "total" world. The sight into the depth of the organic and anorganic structures, e.g. of neurons, is opening a new approach for artists to create and design art.

Prof. Dr. Silvia Arber oft he Friedrich Miescher Institute, Basle, gave an interview to the NZZ in summer 2007. Reading this interview I was getting again interested in neurons. This was the start for a new art project: Abstracted Micro Art.

The first 9 pieces, colour pencel on paper, 21x30cm, have been installed, September 17, 2007, on my website. The deviding of the area, the setting of the lines, the colour design are opening a new working field. The created rhythm of the lines is giving the pictures a special handwriting. Neurons are a central, important operatingcenter in animal and human celles. This can be realized, from my point of view, as an artistic effect in the "Abstracted Micro Art". A beauty out of the inner structures of live.
